What to Do at Home: Korean Mom Shares Simple Steps to Clean Your Clothes Dryer, Quick and Easy in Less Than 20 Minutes
Using a clothes dryer is no longer unfamiliar to many housewives. A clothes dryer in the humid season not only dries clothes faster, removes odor, but also leaves a pleasant scent when wearing. However, cleaning and maintaining the clothes dryer after use makes many housewives headache.
To help solve this problem, Korean vlogger 하미마미 (pronounced as Hamimommy), with 120,000 followers on her YouTube channel, will provide detailed and specific instructions for housewives. This simple and effective cleaning method will help them feel less worried and more confident when using the product.

First, you should open the instruction book provided by the manufacturer when buying the product. According to Hamimommy, most cleaning methods are included in the instruction book and are introduced in detail. After reading the instructions, Hamimommy found that cleaning the dryer was quite simple.
Let’s see how Hamimommy cleans the clothes dryer.
Step 1: After drying the clothes, open the door and the lid of the clothes dryer to let it cool down.

Step 2: Use a soft cloth to wipe the entire outside of the clothes dryer.

Step 3: Clean the inside of the clothes dryer with a damp cloth. Then wipe it clean with a dry cloth.

Clean all the small air vents inside the dryer used for wrinkle reduction function on clothes.

Step 4: Regularly check the water container. Empty any excess water if it becomes full.

Step 5: The lint from the clothes accumulates in the filter of the dryer. You can remove the clumps of lint into the trash can.

Step 6: Then wipe the filter clean with a single-use wet cloth.

Step 7: Then remove the dust with a vacuum cleaner.

Step 8: If you add the step of washing the lint filter under water, you will feel that it is cleaner.

Step 9: You should dry the lint filter in a shady place instead of direct sunlight. This drying method helps prevent mold and unpleasant odor on the lint filter.

Step 10: Open the lid and use a vacuum cleaner to clean it. This part can be dangerous, so Hamimommy advises that if it’s your first time doing it, wear gloves to protect yourself.

Step 11: Remove the rubber protector around the dryer opening. A lot of dirt usually sticks here.

Step 12: Use a soft cloth to wipe the rubber protector clean. Now the cleaning process for the clothes dryer is complete.
