3 Simple and Speedy Methods to Skin Jackfruit in a Jiffy

1Method 1: Peel from the stem

Step 1: Gently hold the stem with two fingers and pull it out of the bamboo shoot.

Step 2: Gently squeeze the stem to split the bamboo shoot in half. Make sure to squeeze gently to avoid crushing it.

2Method 2: Peel from the bottom

Step 1: Flip the bamboo shoot upside down so that the base forms a flower shape pointing upwards. The number of petals corresponds to the number of segments in the shoot.

Step 2: Lightly press the flower part with your fingers to make it sink. Be careful not to press too hard and break the inner flesh of the bamboo shoot.

Step 3: Gently squeeze the stem of the shoot to split it in half, and now you can peel off the shell and enjoy!

3Method 3: Peel the outer skin

Step 1: Before peeling, use gloves to prevent sap from sticking to your hands. Then, peel the lower part of the shoot under running water until you reach the inner flesh.
